焊缝尺寸不符合要求是，将会影响焊接接头的使用性能。由于在电弧擦伤处，冷却速度较快，使弧疤本身的热影响区产生淬硬组织；弧疤不规则状态，会造成应 力集中。在承受动载荷的情况下，焊缝增高量应趋于零值；在其它工作条件下，增高量可在0~3mm范围内 选取；焊缝宽度不做具体规定，但必须保证焊缝在每侧的熔合宽度不小于2~4mm，并且应与母材有均匀圆滑的过 渡。
